The PGCE course focuses on enhancing your teaching skills, not the subject that you are intending to teach. So it is important that you have competent understanding of your given subject or subjects (normally degree level) before your commence training

To take a PGCE you must currently possess a UK undergraduate degree. You may also have an equivalent and recognised qualification. If you are unsure whether or not your qualification is the equivalent to the UK undergraduate degree, you can check with NARIC.
